Air Jordan 6 “Spiz’ike” – Release Reminder

The Air Jordan 6 will be back in stores tomorrow. On the way for a Saturday release is the Air Jordan 6 “Spiz’ike” pair here, which went through a couple of different nicknames on its way to retail. The final one sort of settled when it was revealed that the original Jordan Spiz’ike colorway would be coming on the same day – although comparisons to that pair were made from the get-go thanks to the liner graphics it shares with that shoe.

Nike Lunar Force 1 “World Basketball Festival”

You had to figure that Nike would be celebrating this year’s World Basketball Festival in Chicago with some special releases. What you may not have anticipated was a silhouette so totally literal. The Nike Lunar Force 1 “World Basketball Festival” (Release date August 14th) ends up with a pebbled look across the top meant to look like an actual basketball – and they’ve also got further markers of their hoops heritage sprinkled into the accents.

Asics Gel Lyte III “Red Bandana”

Remember that Asics Gel Lyte III “Red Bandana” previewed back in early June? The pair is finally hitting retailers in all of its Tupac looking glory (It seems like the black among the duo is lagging a little bit). The shoes feature that summertime bandana print on the inner lining and tongue, along with of white and black hit on the branding throughout.

Nike LeBron 11 Elite “Blue 3M” Releasing Soon

We thought that the LeBron 11 Elite had its time to shine, but the unexpected release of the SE version confirmed that more could be on the way. This “Blue 3M” colorway, which features some intricate striping around the blue panels as well as a matte silver trim on the exterior shank, is also headed for a release soon.

Reebok Question “First Ballot” – Available for Pre-order at Packer Shoes

There’s no doubt that Allen Iverson will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on his first try. While small in stature, no player in his era took the court with more heart and fearlessness than AI did, and that relentless approach to the game (paired with his trend-setting style off the court) is why Iverson is so revered to this day. On August 15th, his long-time endorsement partner Reebok will pay homage to the scoring machine with the Reebok Question “First Ballot”; the shoes will release at select Reebok retailers around the globe, but if you want to ensure your pair right now, head on over toPacker Shoes, which has made a pre-order available.

Reebok Pump Blacktop Battleground “Tribal”

The Reebok Blacktop Battleground “Tribal” pair shown here will release this Friday, August 8th. The sneakers do their best to orient themselves back to the glory days of 1990s streetball where the model was born by featuring a bright, wild print attached and a gum bottom look on bottom (There are some more standard colorways floating around though, if that’s your thing).

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Wheat”

Foamposites have been a great alternative to the winter book thanks to the rugged and sturdy exterior and thick materials that make up the shoe. Northeasterners have been rocking Foams in the snow for a while, and Nike has even taken it to that route with the Foamdomes and such. It looks like the Air Foamposite Pro is getting the full wheat workboot treatment as we see the popular Nike Basketball model in a wheat suede upper, brown accents, the the workboot-style laces. Foamposite heads – are these a must-have for you? Is this enough to bring the once-dominant sneaker in the scene back to prominence? Check out the photos below and let us know what your thoughts are in the comments area below.

Nike Brings Liquid Metal To The Benassi Slides

The “Liquid Metal” styles from Nike Sportswear have been some of the most coveted this year in terms of inline releases between the Tiempos, Air Force 1s, and Air Max 1s that picked up on those shiny, alchemic looks. Nike is taking things one step further and introducing the silver and gold approach to their new Nike Benassi Slide, which provides another opportunity for you to step up your slide game in case you missed out on the fragment or FCRB pairs earlier in the year. Continue reading for the full preview and watch with us to find out when and where the “Liquid Metal” Nike Benassi Slides will be releasing.

Nike Air Tech Challenge II – Obsidian – Black

The Nike Air Tech Challenge II has taken a much more dressed-up approach with recent releases, hasn’t it? After this weekend’s preview of the “Burgundy” and “Navy” pairs, we’re getting a detailed look at an Obsidian/Black colorway that features a mix of soft suedes and flat leather on the upper. We previewed these not long ago, although they were perceived to be all-black rather than the two-toned composition we see here. We’ll let you know when these start hitting U.S. retailers, so get a detailed look below for now.

Nike Air Max Lunar90 “Paisley”

The Nike Air Max Lunar90 is a sneaker that’s been particularly prone to graphic looks during its short lifetime. The rest of them on the way will have a tough time topping the excitement of the Nike Air Max Lunar90 “Moon Landing”, but that doesn’t mean that the flow is going to slow. Just showing up are these two “Paisley” pairs, which have that look mixed into the others via a dark color set.

Reebok The Blast – Release Date

The Reebok The Blast will release on August 29th at select Reebok retailers. This classic 90s basketball sneaker screams that loud retro look that Reebok championed with the Shaq Attaq and Kamikaze line, and although The Blast didn’t have, say, a superstar name to the shoe, these were one of the more popular sneakers of the time. Cincinnati alumni Nick Van Exel rocked these during his Los Angeles Lakers days (peep the photo below for a true bit of throwback flavor), and if you need to be reminded, the contrasting nature of the color-blocking make The Blast one of the most visually unique sneakers in Reebok history.

Jordan Future “Gold” – 2015 Sample

The Jordan Future continues to get further and further away from that traditional woven look. Shown here is a 2015 sample version of the shoe that does have criss-cross on the upper, but only underneath a sort of shiny shell. The pair in question is a women’s release according to the source, so we’ll have to wait and see whether or not the men’s pairs follow suit with this particularly shiny look. Find the full photo after the break and then let us know what you think of this new Air Jordan Future.

Nike Roshe Run “Triple Black”

Did it really take this long for an all black version of the Nike Roshe Run to show up? The white/black version was there from the dawn of the Roshe line, but the closest the shoe has ever gotten to turning the lights out was that black “Safari” version that distracted just a little bit with its patterns. Finally achieving triple black is this new pair that’s starting to roll into European retailers now.

The Original Jordan Spiz’ike is Back

This Saturday, Jordan Brand will re-insert the original Jordan Spiz’ike release from 2006 back into the fold. The White, Green, and Red colorway is inspired by Spike Lee’s production company known as 40 Acres and a Mule, while the design of the sneaker itself is a hybrid of the Air Jordan III, IV, V, VI, and XX – five sneakers that the Brooklyn-bred filmmaker helped bring to the world. Nikestore will release these sneakers on Saturday, August 9th at 8 AM in limited quantity (29,032 pairs to be exact), so check out the official gallery below and stay tuned for the latest in Jordan Release Dates and more.

Nike Kobe 9 Mid EXT – Black Snake

The Nike Kobe 9 Mid EXT is different from previous EXT releases from Nike in that it’s actually showing up before the proper, on-court version of the shoe in question. For the uninitiated, EXT stands for “extension” and is meant to designate a more lifestyle ready version of a performance model from Nike Basketball, but as you know we’ve not yet see the Nike Kobe 9 Mid in any other form. See some more photos of the “Black Snake” Nike Kobe 9 Mid EXT with us after the break and remember that they’re releasing on August 23rd, 2014.
